Default Got a new Spike's Lower

Looking to slowly build, what do you recommend? Most likely not going class 3 on this, don't want to spend the extra cash on stamps..

Are you wanting to stay with 5.56 or go with a different caliber upper?

Prolly staying with 5.56... Was thinking of trying out 22 cal since you can shoot all day for just pennies..

I had a CZ V-22 upper and loved it. 16" barrelled flattop w/free-float forend that I mounted rails on at 3-6-9 o'clock. Built up a dedicated Anvil lower with 'std' trigger, used a clonepoint reddot, Vltor clubfoot, and MIAD grip to round it out. Ended up a little lighter but very similar feeling to an 11.5" SBR with a Gemtech G-5 and DD Omega rail.

It was picky about ammo but loved CCI mini-mags at $5/box of 50 and pretty accurate too. Shoot an AR all day for pocket change=awesome!

If you stay in 5.56 and have a shortie you can always build an SPR/DMR style 18" or a full 20" rifle if you wanna reach out a little farther.

copes distributing has some really nice M4 profile 22LR uppers at a reasonable price. The barrels are the correct 1/16 twist for the 22LR cartridge as well. If I remember correctly they were well under 500.

I bought my A4 upper from Rock River Arms for about $460 I think back in 2008, I don't want to even look at what it's going for now..

Oh yea dude, if you really want a good tactical m4 type we could do a bit of shoppin. There is a lot of crap out there. You got the mag pul flip up expoxy sights yes?

Eo Tech (the right one), http://www.cqd.net/CQDHandGrips.php, and there is a good rail system out there whose name escapes me. It's well ventilated and not garbage plastic.

Also, get the spikes drop in .22 kit. Don't need a whole new upper.

Surefire light of choice. You don't really NEED the dieter grip, but it's nice for weapon retention and bustin heads open. If you're gonna get one, get that one. The recess in it is great for push pads.
