Marie Moore, who shot her son and herself at Shoot Straight Gun Range & Store, left the audio messages and three-page suicide note for her boyfriend and investigators.

CASSELBERRY, Fla. -- Authorities said a man killed himself at the central Florida gun range where a mother killed herself and her son three weeks ago.Police said the death of 26-year-old Jason Kevin McCarthy was an apparent suicide. He was found Monday at Shoot Straight in Casselberry with a gunshot wound to the head. The gun was rented.Now, the company wants to suspend all firearms rentals until the state allows gun ranges to conduct background checks on customers. But the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which runs background checks, said it was not allowed.In early April, security video caught a mother walking up behind her 20-year-old son, pointing a revolver at the back of his head and firing a single shot. She then put the gun in her mouth and pulled the trigger.

she was shooting at a target that was 1.5yds away...should of been a sign of where she was sighting in.

I feel bad for that range, not good exposure.

A man shot himself in the leg with a gun Monday in the parking lot of a Jupiter gun store, police said.

The unidentified man had gone into the store, Chuck's Guns and Ammo at 126 Center St. in Jupiter, looking for batteries for the laser sight on a small handgun, said Colleen Sunser, the store's co-owner.

He returned to his car after leaving the store. Inside the vehicle, he injured himself when he accidentally discharged the small handgun, hitting himself in the leg, Jupiter Police Sgt. Scott Pascarella said. The accident happened shortly after 2 p.m.

The man was rushed to the St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach to be treated for his injuries.

No other information was available on Monday.

when he's dumb enough to accidentally shoot someone else, do they deserve it?

accidents will always happen, more people just need to remember the fundamental gun rules:
never point it at something you don't want to shoot/kill
always assume its loaded
keep finger off the trigger until your ready to fire

Of course not.. People get licenses to drive a car, does that stop people from hitting each other?

i was at this range less than two weeks ago cause my parents live near there theres only three firing lanes so i was standing where this bitch shot herself...it was kinda creepy
