I owned the 40 until I traded it off, great gun I loved it and converted many glock fanatics with it, but it is much more suited for people with large hands, even with the smallest back strap. The 40 is a snappy lil round specially in a plastic pistol. It was a great gun and I had 0 problems with it. And 16 rounds of 40cal corbon hollow points....that's a nasty supply of justice lol

I think I'm leaning towards the 3.8 9mm.. Hold 19 and 1, trying to stick with 1 caliber for now..

Thanks for the feedback .

the standard xd9 is nothing like the xd9sc of the xdm9 or the 3.8, they all fit and shoot alil different, i like the standard xd9. but the xdm9 and the 3.8 are supposed to be AMAZING.

The SA factory 'combat carry' 4.5# action job is AMAZING. Period.

First post! Yeah baby, yeah!

I just got a 4.5 9mm XDm, Fantastic little firearm. I have put 200 rounds through it, good grouping range a 17 yards (shooting at indoor range. I love it, recoil is actually pretty light. as far as grip, I'm 6 ft huge (6'10) so grip is perfect and because of my size Im have been carrying this thing as my everyday carry along with my .38 special snub nose revolver.

Hope this helps

its comfortable but obvious depends on where you carry its a little thick so no tight shirts if you carry in belt line

I have a full size XDm 9, put about 500 rounds through it so far and it's a great gun. I personally like the trigger though some say it's spongy. I will say I paid way too much for it though and if I had to do it over I would save some cash and just get a Glock 19.

I have a g21sf & g19, like both a lot. I had a xd 40 service & xd45 service , liked them also . Xds have a much better grip though in my opinion. Best thing with xds & glocks, they always go bang every time ,with any type ammo . Never had a ftf ot fte. I will keep the glocks but will get another xd45 soon. I just bought a s&w m&p 45, i am more accurate with it than the xd & g's. Feels more like a 1911.

Food for thought...the Glock 26 kind of just melts into you with the right holster....

XD

Default XDm

I own 3 XDm's, 40 Cal, 9mm, and 9mm 3.8. they are great guns, very reliable and accurate. I love the match grade barrel, and capacity 16 + 1 in 40 cal and 19 + 1 in 9mm. I bought my 40 right after they came out and then added the other two later. I traded a CZP2075 that was way to picky on what ammo it would feed on the 3.8. Like all XD products they are superbly reliable.

Default XDs

I just picked up my XDm .40 3.8 today that I got from BudsPoliceSupply(total of 550.00 FFL included) The gun looks totally great in person and not at all out of proportion as I thought it might. I had no problem carrying concealed today, but I' m a big guy and it was only for one day. I'll have to get back to you on how it shoots since the doc has me on an additional 6 weeks of P.T. for my shoulder.
Guess the wife will get to shoot it before me.

Semper Fi all

I bought one from one of the guys here an XDm 40, I have quite a few XDs (tactical, compact, service and V10) but this is the first time I owned an XDm. Although they look almost the same in physical appearance they are night and day difference.

I like the XDm 40 better but not ready to throw away my regular XDs, I think they are under rated and if you like a 1911, I'm sure you'll like the way the safety features and the predictable trigger break. (A little mushy but consistent and predictable).

Of all the guns I currently own, my top pick as my primary carry and HD weapon is an XD 40 Tactical but soon I it will be my XDm 40... it is just too pretty right now and I hate for it to get scratched. (I know it has a durable finish) it just a safe queen for the mean time.

The XDm 40 is perfect but I'm in the hunt for a 9mm. Anyone selling?

I have the xd .40 subcompact. It's the one for sale on here with the laser. First of all I find it heavy to carry concealed even though it;s a great shooter for a short barrel. Finish and fit are good. Controls are very good . Value is good for the price. Very sturdy work horse type pistol Feeds everything.
